I have to admit, though, there's something about the desert heat that's kind of uplift. It pushes you to find new ways to stay cool, like discovering that perfect swimming hole or just holding the siesta lifestyle. And there's a certain satisfaction that comes with surviving a Phoenix summer; it feels like a badge of honor. Plus, the winters are so favorable and nice, it almost makes up for the summer's intensity.
Yet, even with the intense heat, the weather here has a way of simplifying life. It brings down your closet to the essentials and encourages a simple lifestyle. There's a clarity in the air, a brightness that makes the world seem a bit more vivid. And when those rare storms arrive and break the routine of blue skies, the desert comes alive in a way that's absolutely incredible. The smell of rain on hot asphalt, the thunder echoing off the mountains—it's dramatic and beautiful, and it never fails to remind me why Phoenix weather is special in its own right.

I don't understand how people can enjoy the heat so much. I'm glad some people can find enjoyment from it, but the climate here is something I've grown to hate so much. Summers where several months have a high of above 100 every day of an entire month, I find that ridiculous and intolerable.
ReplyDelete"Yet, even with the intense heat, the weather here has a way of simplifying life." I love this sentence. I just moved here in January and am excited to see how I spend my summer with a new level of heat from what I'm used to. So far I would agree with that sentence. Life just feels simpler since moving here.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who has lived in Arizona my whole life so far I agree that Arizona weather has its pros and cons. I also think its interesting to see someone almost defending the heat a little because usually everyone only complains about it so good job
ReplyDeleteHi Abby! I have lived in AZ my whole life but everytime the summer comes I still get surprised by how hot it gets. I can see how people prefer summers over winters but since it get's really hot here in the summer I much rather prefer the winter, that is the perfect weather for me!
